Strategic Planning Committee

God’s Word teaches that we should plan, “The plans of the diligent lead to profit” (Proverbs 21:5)

Committee Update November 2014

Committee Update September 2014

MESSAGE FROM THE STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE

"The Challenge:
St. Paul's is faced with an immediate challenge of how to manage the current, near-term and long-term spiritual and numeric growth as well as the congregational response to that growth."

The important work continues in our efforts to communicate the short term needs and long term vision of the congregation-at-large for St. Paul's. Important conversations with church members, church leaders and community representatives are being held by the 14 member committee.
Additionally, nearly 100 members completed the two(2) question card that was recently distributed; we were very pleased with the response. The information that has been shared will be used to develop our final recommendations for church leaders to consider in our efforts to achieve "Limitless Possibilities".

Members who would still like to offer input to the committee may contact any committee member or one of the Co-Chairs, Juan Baughn or Levi Wingard.

The Final Report of the Strategic Planning Committee is scheduled for completion by
January 1, 2015. Please keep the Strategic Planning Committee and process in your prayers.

Strategic Planning by Definition:  "Strategic planning is a review and planning process that is undertaken to make thoughtful decisions about a church’s future in order to ensure its success.

Strategic planning involves clearly defining the church's mission and an assessment of its current state and landscape.

Strategic planning also requires a well-thought out plan for how to properly allocate time, human capital and financial resources.

By following a strategic planning process, a church can improve necessary outcomes and avoid taking on unanticipated risks due to lack of foresight.

Depending on the scope of a church’s plans, the strategic planning process can decide to look forward one, five or 10 years, or even more in some cases.

The strategic planning committee findings will be finalized by December 31, 2014 and submitted to the church leaders in a formal strategic planning document.

**There will be multiple opportunities during the next several months for church members as well as the community-at-large to share ideas, suggestions, and concerns. Focus groups, surveys, questionnaires and interviews will be used by the strategic planning committee to gather information and collect data. Updates will be communicated using the church website, Sunday bulletins and periodic special announcements.

The beauty of our collective efforts will come to light when we see our efforts materialize as kingdom building and know that God is being glorified.

More information to come in the near future.
